It’s Like Déjà Vu is about feeling lost, stuck, and being senseless to their surroundings. Each photograph is a place that perceives comfort; a place where there are no high emotions of anxiety. At the same time, it is a place that retains the feeling of not being able to advance in oneself. From the thorn branches to the Japanese binding and the delicate chains, they all represent different ways of being restrained to that place. The idea of being senseless to their own milieu creates a timeless space. As one could say It’s like Déjà Vu.
It’s Like Déjà Vu is a mixed media hanging piece. It consists of Rose Thorn Branches, Gold Metal Cable Chains, and Gold Metallic Thread on Polar Luster Metallic paper.

Piecing It Together is about the loss of hair and hair thinning out. It conveys a sense of insecurity of wanting to have thicker or even more hair. An addition, that starts from taking hair vitamins to excessively buying and wearing hair extensions. It becomes a big part of my everyday thoughts that it becomes asphyxiating. At the end, all that I wanted was to try to achieve the illusion of having a fuller head of hair. Piecing it Together is a mixed media wall piece. It consists of Acrylic Medium Lifts on Mirrors, Authentic Hair Extensions, Solvent DASS Transfer, Gold Metallic Thread, Brown and Natural Thai Mango paper on Muslin fabric.
